Stop the vaccine propaganda already! Why was there a breakout and spread of mumps among Harvard University? All of them affected had been vaccinated against the mumps. The big pharma cooperation’s history shows deceit and fraud. Yet the government still assist them in hurting the public people for profit. There had not been any double blind placebo controlled study published on the mumps vaccine in humans. CDC claimed a 76 yo 95 percent effective rate. That’s fake data to mislead public. [ Editor’s Note: I almost didn’t run this because the idea that vaccines don’t save lives is just to discount 100 years of successful immunization history. The fact that there has been a massive reduction in the number of cases of mumps ( more than a 90 percent decline since 1963) and measles ( virtually irradicated in the U. S., more than 80 percent worldwide) since the introduction of the MMR vaccine can only be ignored by those who wish ( for God knows what reason) to simply turn a blind eye to reality. It is well documented that there are nearly two dozen strains of the measles virus and that the vaccine can have limited effectiveness against some of them ( just like a small number of people who receive the flu shot still get the flu), and the mumps vaccine can “ wear off” after more than 10 years ( some colleges require a “ booster” shot to attend). While I, too, am occasionally suspicious of the large pharmaceutical companies ( one of my favorite lines on the subject comes from Chris Rock, who said companies don’t cure diseases, they treat them, saying “ Ain't no money in the cure. The money's in the medicine.”), vaccines clearly work]

*** As I have read before, A lie doesn’t become truth, Wrong doesn’t become right, And evil doesn’t become good just because it’s accepted by the majority.

It is time someone provided TRUTHFUL information about the law enforcement situation in Hughes. The media that has been called in to publicly judge the current mayor has not cared enough to determine the truth. They accept what they have been told by troublemakers, some of whom do not even live in Hughes. The color or sex of those involved have nothing to do with the lack of willingness to do the job they were hired to do. Crime has been rampant during the former Police Chief’s time in office. Nothing was done. On numerous occasions, the door to the police department was locked and the phone was unanswered while the chief and her officers were inside the locked office. Were they afraid to investigate crimes? She did not want to move to Hughes, nor did several of those she hired. Most officers hired under that administration were not certified and certainly were not interested in working for the betterment of Hughes. The Chief was NOT fired. She notified the county sheriff that SHE QUIT because she did not want to work a reasonable schedule, but only the hours when she wanted to be available.

We finally have a mayor who is trying to get personnel who are interested in protecting the citizens of Hughes, regardless of color. Even though he is a white man, it was a majority of black voters who elected him to serve this predominantly black town. The voters were dissatisfied with the former administration’s lack of performance. The city council has four black members and two white members; the recorder/treasurer and the city clerk are black. The socalled racist atmosphere mentioned in an earlier Text The Times is being promoted by those whose interest is more in serving themselves rather than the good people of Hughes. [ Editor’s Note: I’m reading what you are saying, and I believe you’re trying to get a point across, but I can’t quite get a handle on what it is. Now, granted, I don’t know the whole story about what’s going on in Hughes. I know the community is in decline, and that can lead to despair, anxiety and disunion. What is it, exactly, that Hughes needs right now? Whatever it is, finding reasons to argue rather than reasons to come together isn’t it]

*** Why was a kid from the dollhouses in marion going to school in west Memphis?

[ Editor’s Note: I’ll have to assume this is in reference to the teenager who was found shot dead in his home last Friday afternoon. The short answer is I don’t know. The longer answer is there are a few reasons why a student might live in one district and go to school in another, especially when the two districts are in such close proximity. The important thing here, though, is that hopefully his killer can be found and found quickly]

Here’s what everyone is talking about this week:
