ALICE Training at St. Michael’s
St. Michael’s Catholic School recently had the West Memphis Police Department train faculty and staff in the ALICE program for schools. Faculty and staff were informed on different scenarios on school intruders. Father Charles Thessing purchased materials to deter entry for unwanted guest for each of the classroom. ALICE stands for “Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate.” It is based on the premise that information, authorization and proactive training are the key to surviving an Active Shooter event.
