DeltaARTS awarded $100K Challenge Grant from Assisi
Funds will go toward improvement campaign at Schoettle Center
DeltaARTS DeltaARTS has been awarded a $100,000 Challenge Grant from the Assisi Foundation of Memphis, Inc., which will be used for program enhancement and renovation of the Glenn P.
Schoettle Arts Education Center.
Along with enhancing current programming and offering new arts education opportunities, DeltaARTS has worked with Pat Magruder of PKM Architects to draft plans for a complete redesign of the Schoettle Center auditorium. The auditorium was designed as a medical lecture hall, and the funding goal is to redesign it as a multipurpose space, allowing for Crittenden Youth Theatre performances, the DeltaARTS' annual Educator Workshop, community rental options, and more.
In order to receive this funding, DeltaARTS must raise $300,000 by February 2018. DeltaARTS has already raised $125,000 through our Capital Campaign, 'Building Together a Better Community,' which kicked off in September 2016.
'We thank the Assisi Foundation and those who have contributed to our Campaign, and feel confident that we will succeed in raising the matching funds, which will enable us to provide so many arts opportunities for our community in our state-of-theart building,' says Amelia Barton, DeltaARTS Executive Director.
