School Board elections Sept. 19
Seats up for grabs in all three county public school districts
firstname.lastname@example.org A total of four races across the three public school districts in Crittenden County will be decided in the upcoming School Board elections.
Elections will take place across the state on Tuesday, Sept. 19, the largest voting day in the “off” election year calendar.
Of the four seats at stake in Crittenden County, only two are involved in contested races. In Earle, the School Board Zone 4 seat will be contested between Eric Cox and Melvin Bowles.
In Marion, the School Board Zone candidates will be Glenda Bryan and Rob Rash.
The Zone 6 seat in Marion is uncontested. Current Zone 6 board member Gary Wehrum, appointed to fill a vacancy last year, will be seeking his first full term on the board. He is unopposed.
Also unopposed is Phillip Sorrell, who has filed for re-election to the Zone 4 seat on the West Memphis School Board.
