Concert set for Oct. 21
WM School District Nationally renowned vocal group Voctave will perform a concert at the West Memphis High School Performing Arts Center on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. WMHS vocal arts director Doug Conwill raves about the group.
'They are without a doubt the most talented group of singers I've ever heard,' he said. 'I've never heard a group this good, this talented.'
Voctave will perform acapella Broadway and Disney tunes. They are regular performers at Disney World and the group, in fact, is based out of Orlando, Fla. They have a half-million followers on YouTube and 250,000 followers on Facebook.
Members of the group have performed all over the world with multiple artists and in countless venues.
Voctave was formed in 2015 and has been recording and performing all over the U.S. The group has recorded with such artists as Kristin Maldonado of Pentatonix and former Avalon member Jody McBrayer.
Tickets for the event are $15 apiece and are available by calling the WMHS vocal arts office at 7328558.
'People have called me for tickets from as far away as Atlanta, Little Rock, Jackson, Miss., and Tupelo, Miss.,' said Conwill. 'People have called me everyday for tickets. We'll probably have 100 out-of-town tickets for this concert.'
