Happy Hour Club

The Happy Hour Club enjoyed a Thanksgiving luncheon held at the First United Methodist Church last Monday. Faye Thompson prepared the dressing and Rev. Tony Wells baked the turkey.

Favors were packages of corn candy. The tables were beautifully decorated for the season.

Janis Lancaster was recognized as having a birthday Nov. 26.

Rev. Tony Wells presented the Veterans Day devotional. J. W. Ellis, Dean Ryan and Rev. Wells were recognized as veterans. The group sang “We Gather Together” led by Rev. Wells and accompanied by Alex Turner.

Others present were Dot McKinney, Jane Speed, Laura Pritchard, Joanna McLamore, Sue Dorman, Jimmie Barham, Adria Roberts, Martha Booker, Tammy Dunn, Minnie McCain, Jean Allensworth, Anga Turner.

Ken Lancaster, Christine Littlejohn, Frankie Swindle, Sue Ann Elms, Doris Gately, Patty and Johnny Jenkins, church pastor.


Music Coterie

The Earle Music Coterie will meet at the First United Methodist Church Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.

Jane Speed is in charge of the annual Parade of American Music program.

Co-hosts are Mrs. Speed, Donna Hooker and Rev. Stacie Grubbs.

Everyone is invited to attend.
