Bruce Hayse Jackson, 71, of West Memphis, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, Aug.

30, 2018, at his home in Cordova, Tennessee. He was

He was a graduate of West Memphis High School, Class of 1964, and a member of the 1964 West Memphis Blue Devil football team, which was inducted into the West Memphis High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2016. He graduated from Arkansas State University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

He was the proud owner and operator of Climate Control Services, a heating and air conditioning company which he founded nearly twenty ago. Bruce enjoyed amateur radio, gardening, barbecuing, and participated in plays for the West Memphis Little Theater. He was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks (Go Hogs!) and Memphis Grizzlies.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Lamar Jackson. He is survived by his son, Bryan David Jackson of Lowell.; daughters, Virginia Jackson Crawford of Mooresville, North Carolina and Anne Erwin Jackson of Bentonville; sister, Sara Lynn Leaptrot (Mike) of Marion; sister-in-law, Amy (Tenent) Jackson; grandchildren, Cole Jackson Crawford and Avery Anne Crawford; and his granddogs, Sunny and Izzy.

Visitation was held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 2, at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in West Memphis, Ark. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m.

with Frank Martin officiating. Burial followed at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ark. Arrangements were provided by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis, Ark.
