FORREST CITY – If you have uninsured friends or family members, Forrest City Medical Center can help them sign up for coverage. Call (870) 261-0495 to make an appointment with our application coordinator.

“Based on household income and dependents, your friends and family members may be eligible for health coverage at no cost through Medicaid,” said FCMC spokesperson Janet Benson. “Others may be eligible for affordable health insurance on the Health Insurance Marketplace — and financial assistance towards the cost of premiums may be available from the government.”

The open enrollment period runs Nov. 1 through Dec. 15, 2018.

A person cannot be denied coverage because of a preexisting health condition. Some of the health benefits on every plan on the Health Insurance Marketplace include:

KASU to Hold Record

Sale to Support Station

JONESBORO – A record sale to help raise funds to support the station will be held by KASU-FM, the non-profit, public media service of Arkansas State University, Friday, Nov. 9, and Saturday, Nov. 10. Proceeds will assist with the acquisition and production of the radio programs featured on 91.9 FM and as well as the station’s community outreach efforts and upgrades to the station’s facilities.

A supporter of KASU recently donated a collection of approximately 7,000 LP records as well as hundreds of 45 rpm singles and laserdisc movies to the station. The collection includes classic rock, country, jazz, classical, R& B, Broadway, film scores and novelty albums from the 1940s to the 1980s. Everything will be sold for $3 or less. Cash and checks will be accepted, and all sales will be final.

The sale will be in the lobby of the Department of Media, adjacent to the KASU studios, on the first floor of the Education/Communication s Building on the A-State campus. Look for the satellite dishes and the antennas on top of the building, 330 University Loop West, located south of the Dean B. Ellis Library.

The sale will be open first to A-State faculty, staff and students as well as KASU contributors on Friday, Nov. 9, from noon to 6 p.m. The sale is open to the general public Saturday, Nov. 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visitor parking will be available Friday in the lot on the south side of the Education/Communication s Building. Blue and white signs with a letter V designates parking for campus visitors. Parking on Saturday will be available anywhere surrounding the building.
