Arkansas Department of Transportation expects to bid out the Marion railroad overpass this summer and the project should be completed by the end of 2021.
Residents had another chance last week to see the design details and provide comments. The meeting was a follow-up to one held last January which showed the proposed route as part of the environmental study phase of the project development. “This is our design informational meeting,” said Robert Mclvor, project manager with Parsons Transportation Group. “We are between our 60 percent and 90 percent plan level.” The overpass will be built next to the Walmart Neighborhood Grocery from L.H. Polk and Hwy. 77 to Military Road and is expected to cost about $ 11 to $12 million.
