The Earle Music Coterie met at the First United Methodist Church Nov. 15 for the Annual Parade of American Music Program.
Rev. Tony Wells, president, presided and led the reading of the Club Collect.
Eric Elms was in charge of the poetry moment and read “Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost. He gave a brief history of the life of Robert Frost.
The group sang “America The Beautiful.” Alex Turner accompanied and Rev.
Staci Grubbs led. Mary Jo Staggs told about the song.
Donna Hooker was in charge of the program. She told about several types of music including Blues, Jazz, Rock, Latin Rhythm, Blue Grass and Broadway.
Members attending were Janis Lancaster, Ken Lancaster, Jane Speed, Anga Turner, Frankie Swindle, Sue Ann Elms and Vickey Wells.
Co-hosts were Mary Jo Staggs, Laura Pritchard and Elleene Holloway.
Thanksgiving Travels Doris Gately spent Thanksgiving in Marion at the home of Wayne and Janet Gately. Others present were Trent Gately, Pam and Scott Gray, Sean and Katie Gray and son Dane, Jim and Julie Gately, Lauren and Aliya Gately, Eunice Wheeler of Marion and Jean Clements of Huntsville, Alabama.
Mary and David Griffin of Heber Springs, Chris and Elyse Hill of Little Rock, Jessica and Jerry Wayne White and daughters Allison and Ashley and Frankie Swindle of Earle were dinner guests in the home of Mary Jo and Tommy Staggs last Saturday.
Freddie Swindle of Heber Springs visited family members on Thanksgiving.
Kathy Smith of Cabot, Kevin Elms of Russellville, Sinthey Breyel of Lewisville, Texas, Sydney Gangluff, Staci and Lynn Fitzgerald and son Mason, Karli Potratz of North Little Rock, Mason Goheem of Conway, Eric Elms and Corey Lewis of Memphis were dinner guests in the home of Sue Ann Elms last Friday.
The 39ers of the Earle Baptist had dinner at Crossroads in West Memphis recently.
Included were Anga and Rickey Turner and sons Alex Turner and Caleb Turner, Charlene and Elbert Person, Adria and Mark Roberts, Susie and Mike Root, Tanya Pate, Kay and Rev. Bill Watt, Kay and Richard Rogers, Vickey and Rev. Tony Wells, church pastor.
Community Singers Program
A program of Lessons and Carols will be presented by the Community Singers at Earle Methodist Church Dec. 16th at 5 p.m. All are invited.
