• Mass Flu Clinics — The Crittenden County Health Department will be having a mass flu clinic Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 9:30 a.m.

until 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Insured participants are asked to bring their insurance cards.

For those individuals who do not have insurance coverage, there will be no charge. A second flu clinic will be held in Marion Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., at the Marion First Baptist Church.

• WMCS Rummage Sale —

For the second year, the West Memphis Christian School Grandparents Fundraiser rummage sale will be Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6 at the school on Missouri Street.

Saturday’s sale will be from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., and Sunday’s hours will be from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. More than a dozen participants will offer furniture, clothes, shoes, sporting goods, exercise equipment and much more. The two-day sale will be held rain or shine and will be held inside the school.

• Class of 1984 WMHS Reunion — The Class of 1984 of West Memphis Senior High will be celebrating their 35th year class reunion, October 11-12, 2019.

• 13th Annual Hometown Crawfordsville Harvest Festival — Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Music, car show, Veterans parade, arts, craft and great food. Paw Patrol will be here this year in the children’s area, drawings for great prizes and also the silent auction will be back again. • Families in Transition —

provides support groups for victims of domestic violence as well as teen dating violence. We also provide “Safe Dates” Adolescent Dating Abuse Prevention Curriculum to schools, youth groups and any organization focusing on youth ages 12 and up. All services are provided free of charge through State and Federal funding.

• Global Academy USDA Food Program — Global Academy, Inc., located at 301 N. 7th St., in West Memphis, is participating in the USDA Food Program. Meals will be available at no charge or at a reduced rate to enrolled persons at the above location.

• Bethel AME Community Grant Program — Larry Banks, pastor of the Bethel AME Church, 2304 E. Barton Ave., was recently awarded the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant for the 2019-2020 school year by the U.S. Department of Education. Applications are now being accepted for a maximum of 100 students to participate in the program that will be held at Maddux Elementary School, 2100 E.

Once the 100 positions are filled, all others will be placed on a standby list.

Applications for children in grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 may be picked up at Bethel AME Church or at Maddux Elementary School during back to school registration. The program director is Sheri Lowe and the site coordinator is Karmen McNutt.

• West Memphis City Council — New meeting schedule: 1:30 p.m., on the first Thursday of each month; 5 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month, at West Memphis City Hall, 205 S.

Redding St., in West Memphis. All meetings are open to the public.

• West Memphis Lions Club — The West Memphis Lions Club holds their meetings every first Tuesday and third Tuesday of each month at Shoney’s at noon.
