Robert Earl-Wayne Mettler, 55, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019.

He was born on Sept. 18, 1964, in West Memphis, Arkansas, to Charles and Eleanor Mettler. Earl-Wayne loved being outdoors, an avid fisherman, and was good working with his hands. There was nothing he couldn’t fix or build.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother and step-father, Eleanor and Norris Wilson, of Earle, Arkansas; his son, Chandler Mettler of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his daughter, Paige McKnight (Derry) of Wynne, Arkansas; his grandmother, Henrietta Sanford of Dover, Florida; his brother, Charles Mettler Jr. of Proctor, Arkansas; his two sisters, Tamara Daniel of Marion, Arkansas, and Anna Michelle Parker of Moro, Arkansas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and other members of the family. Earl-Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Charles Roy Mettler Sr.; and his grandfather, Zuriel Sanford.

Visitation will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, in West Memphis, on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, from 5PM to 7PM, with a Funeral Service immediately following. Online condolences may be made at rollerfuneralhomes.com/ westmemphis

Ruford “Jim” Bitterman

Ruford “Jim” Bitterman, 80, of West Memphis passed away peacefully at his home following a long illness on Sunday morning, Sept 22, 2019.

Jim was a Navy veteran and enjoyed a long career as a truck driver. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran in West Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Rosella Bitterman, seven sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diana Bitterman, and a sister, Rose Frank, of Lakewood, Colorado.

At his request, there were no services. Memorials may be made to The American Lung Association or The American Heart Association.
