On Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, Patsy M. Wootten, loving mother of a daughter and grandmother of three, passed away at the age of 79.

Patsy was born on July 17, 1940, in Earle, Arkansas, to Webster and Pearl McCain.

She was the youngest of seven children and was blessed with lots of cousins, nieces and nephews that she enjoyed spending time with all throughout her life.

She graduated from Parkin High School, where she was a standout basketball player and friend to all. Over the years she worked at the First State Bank in Parkin, before taking on the job of Bookkeeper at Riceland Foods in West Memphis where she eventually retired.

A dedicated member of the First Assembly of God Church in West Memphis, Patsy had many friends. She was widely known for her zest for life and her compassionate spirit. She was very fond of attending all of her high school reunions and she loved to play bridge/card games, travel, and root for the Hogs.

Patsy’s pride and joy was her daughter, Lynn and her three grandchildren, Sydney, Samantha and Louis. She loved to visit her family where she enjoyed spending time with them telling stories and sharing laughs, going out to eat and watching the grandkids play sports.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Paul, Boyce, and Louis Mc-Cain as well as her sisters, Marine Phillips and Vera Pirani. She is survived by her sister, Ludean Sartini.

She is also survived by her daughter, Lynn, her sonin- law, Lou Rhuda, their three children and many other family and friends who loved her dearly and will miss her deeply.

A gathering of Patsy’s family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., at Roller- Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis on Friday, Oct. 11. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m., at the First Assembly of God Church in West Memphis, with burial services at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
