Jeffrey Wayne Sitzes

Jeffrey Wayne Sitzes, “Jeff”, passed away Monday, Oct.

21, 2019, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 56.

Jeff was born Oct. 4, 1963 in Brinkley, Arkansas, to parents McRea and Nellie Sitzes. He later in life met and married Rita Sitzes. The two were able to spend the next 19 years together before God called Jeff home.

Even though he never learned to swim, he worked his entire adult life on the mighty Mississippi River. He worked his was through the ranks from Deck Hand all the way to Captain’s Mate.

Though Jeff had many health issues his entire life, he never knew the meaning of the word “quit.” He and wife Rita were faithful followers at their church at Faith Point in Hot Springs.

Jeff is survived by his wife Rita, his father McRae Sitzes, his son Matthew Holmes, two daughters; Jessica Holmes and Victoria Holmes, his brother Brant Sitzes and two grandchildren who will forever cherish their memories of him, Aiden Simon and Faith Fawver. Jeff is preceded in death by his mom Nellie Miller, daughter Tiffany Holmes, brother H. Glenn Sitzes and sister Deana Warren.

Visitation for Jeff will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, from 6 to 7 p.m. Online condolences can be made at www.
