AWM math whizzes compete in ACTM contest

Students from the Academies of West Memphis who competed in the ACTM state math contest included Mason Arnett, Murphy Arnett, Tyler Dye, Byron Emerson, Joshua Foster, John Haney, Michael Hinson, Mary Anna Merideth, Jason Scott, Michael Skjefte, Bailey Smith and Lara Tarr. The students from West Junior High who competed included Ta'Nya Burnett, Anna Foster, Adrianna Hardy, Alex Speck and Coen Winter. Teachers included Joanne Smith and Joseph Byrn from AWM and Whitney Phillips and Hayden Tyler from West. John Haney (right photo) placed third in the state in statistics.
