Hundreds showed up decked out in their finest attire for Marion Middle School annual Dudes and Darlings Dance Oct. 19, in the school cafeteria. The highly anticipated event, in its third year, gives girls an opportunity to have date night with their dads or father figure; thus, providing a special bonding time between parent and child, said Jonnett Gammill, Instructional and Parent Facilitator, who created the event. Attendees danced to music provided by DJ Big Rawd, took fun photos courtesy of Snap Happy Photo Booth, and indulged in refreshments happily catered by Marion Middle School parents and faculty. “I want to thank those of you that contributed and helped with the dance from the bottom of my heart. Words can't express my appreciation for your support. It gets better every year and it feels wonderful that we helped make some fun memories for these kids and their parents,” said Gammill.
