Who needs a tree when you can have a ‘tree’?

Never let it be said that the folks around here can’t get creative when it comes to getting into the Christmas spirit! At Marion Junior High, these young scholars (above) are ringing in the holidays with reading with a Christmas tree composed entirely of books. Technically, these books were trees once upon a time. And recycling is also known as “going green,” and Mike Steele of Steele-Guiltner Tire Pros in Marion repurposed a stack of old tires to not only build a Christmas tree but also added a whimsical Snowtire Man to greet passersby as they motored down Highway 77.
