WMPD promotes four

Department holds special ceremony to recognize officers

ralphhardin@gmail.com Four members of the West Memphis Police Department received promotions during a special promotion ceremony at the WMPD headquarters on Monday Morning.

West Memphis Police Chief Donald Oakes and the West Memphis Police Department leadership were on hand to make the announcement.

Stacy Allen was promoted to Captain and will manage the communications center. Brent Bradley was promoted to Narcotics Lieutenant.

Billy Beech was promoted to Sergeant for the WMPD reserve staff.

Ira Rountree was pro- moted to Sergeant in the Criminal Investigation Division and assigned to the crime analyst position.

“These are all fantastic promotions and we couldn’t be more proud to make them. Congratulations to all promoted today,” said Chief Oakes.
