So close! West Memphis head coach Marcus Brown consoles sophomore Chris Moore moments after the Blue Devils fell 55-49 Saturday in the Class 6A state tournament finals at Hot Springs. The team was given a hero’s send-off (below) and a large crowd followed West Memphis across the state to cheer their team on, but the Devils can still hold their heads up high as state runners-up.
