WMPD hosting Easter Egg hunt
Fun for all at Horton Park March 31
ralphhardin@gmail.com The West Memphis Police Department has been known to launch a hunt for a suspect from time to time, but this Easter season, the WMPD is sponsoring a hunt of a different color — several different colors actually.
On Saturday, March 31, the day before Easter, the WMPD is inviting the community out for a special event, “Easter in Horton Park.”
“It should be a great event,” said West Memphis Police Enforcement and Criminal Investigation Division Commander Capt.
Joe Baker.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Horton Park, 598 Rosemary Lane, in West Memphis, will be transformed into an Easter wonderland, with a little something for everyone, including food, rides, and, of course a visit from the Easter Bunny.
For the big Egg Hunt, kids will be divided into three age groups: 4-and-under, 57 years old, and 8-11 years old. The event is free and open everyone in the community.
