Home Visiting Services monthly meeting includes visit from the West Memphis Fire Department

ASU Mid-South Home Visiting Services at Arkansas State University Mid-South held its monthly group meeting on May 14 at the Crittenden County Boys and Girls Club. The meeting covered fire safety and summer fun and was a huge success with 69 people attending.

The West Memphis Fire Department covered fire safety tips and brought a fire truck for kids to learn about, climb into and take pictures with firemen. The Boys and Girls Club of Crittenden County presented information about summer programs for children. Special thanks to Darin McCollum of the Boys and Girls Club and WMFD Division Chief Dewayne Rose. The Home Visiting Services Department at ASU Mid-South is still taking referrals for prenatal moms and families with children up to age two. Contact Brandy Ivy bivy@asumidsouth. edu for more information.

The next meeting is June 11, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on ASU Mid-South campus in Magruder Hall, Room 108. The theme for June will be Cooking Matters.
