Willester Allison, Jr., 61, formerly of Marion, and was a resident of Chicago, Illinois, died Thursday, Sept. 12, at Northwestern Hospital.

Survivors include two sisters, Vicky Frasier, of Fredericksburge and Shanita King of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Gary Allison of Chicago, Illinois and a grandmother, Mrs. Luereon Ersery of West Memphis. He is also survived by his companion, Pearie Tribble of Chicago, Illinois.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Friday at Wolf Brothers Funderal Home, West Memphis, with services at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Church in Marianna. Burial will be at Newsome Cemetary.

Allen Henry Brooks

Allen Henry Brooks, 70, of Hughes died Thursday, Sept.

12, 2019, Mr. Brooks was a farmer by profession.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Brooks of Hughes; five daughters, Jackie Martinez of Wynne, Alvondia Brooks, Denise Brooks, Vanessa Brooks and Angela Brooks all of Hughes; three sons, Allen Brooks of Hayti, Missouri; Robert Brooks of West Memphis, and Walter Brooks of Hughes.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday, with services to follow at Wolf Brothers Funderal Home.

Patricia Ann Latham Dawson

Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Ann Latham Dawson, 78, of Marion, Arkansas, passed away Monday morning, Sept. 16, 2019, at Three Rivers Healthcare in Marked Tree, AR, after a courageous fight against brain cancer. She was born April 29, 1941, in Marianna, Arkansas, the sixth of twelve children of the late A.J. and Queenie Latham.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Dawson; one son, David McCoy; five brothers, Richard Latham, Edward Latham, Murle Latham, Bobby Latham, and Paul Latham; and one sister, Frances Latham Beggs. She was a charter member of Colonial Baptist Church in Marion, and a homemaker.

She loved word search and jigsaw puzzles, shopping for bargains, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She especially loved her role as Grandma and Mamaw.

She is survived by one son: Mike McCoy (Brandi) of Lake Jackson, Texas; and two daughters: Sheila Lence (Ken) of Ripley, Mississippi, and Jamie Boeckmann (Ryan) of Wynne, Arkansas. She leaves to cherish her memory 8 grandchildren: Katie Lence May (Lance) of Mooreville, Mississippi; Kevin Lence of Ripley, Mississippi; Mathew McCoy (Kari), James McCoy (Zoe), Daniel McCoy, all of Lake Jackson, Texas; Tatum Houston, Emma Balentine, Conner and Saylor Boeckmann, of Wynne, Arkansas; two great-grandsons: Wyatt and Jurdan May of Mooreville, Mississippi; three greatgranddaughters: Sloan May of Mooreville, Mississippi, Madison Franco and Ashlyn McCoy of Lake Jackson, Texas. She also leaves four sisters: Shirley Luke (R.M.), Barbara Parker (Paul), Freda Beard (Jim), and Janice Taylor (Billy); and one brother: Larry Latham (Lynda), and her best friend, Linda Friend (John) of Marion. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss her as well. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept.

28, 2019, at Colonial Baptist Church in Marion, with Rev.

Paul Winters officiating. Burial will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Lula B. Jones

Lula B. Jones, 89, of Earle, Arkansas, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2019, in Earle.

Survivors include, 10 daughters, Darlene Aikens of West Memphis, Ann Lewis of Earle, Esterine Dawson of West Memphis, Teresia Jones of Marion, Gerlean Yates of Memphis, Mildred Davis of Memphis, Luvenia Jones of Earle, Karen Jones of Earle, Gloria Jones of Memphis, and Erma Jones of West Memphis; six sons, George Jones of Earle, Frank Jones, Curtis Jones and Calvin Jones all of St. Louis, Ester Jones III of West Memphis and Carl Jones of Earle; one brother, Willie Jones, Jr. of West Memphis. She had a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt.

Pilgrim Church, with burial to follow at Paradise Gardens Cemetery.

Willie David Rowell, Jr.

Willie David Rowell, Jr., 59, of Hughes, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, in his home.

He is survived by his wife, Edna B. Rowell of Hughes; his mother, Lebora Austin Mabry of Memphis; four daughters, Taffany Lawanda Lewis of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Lavern Ashley Brown of Marianna, Whitney Ann Rowell and Aazaria Lillie Rowell of Hughes; four sons, Willie David Davis, David Jerome Matthews Denzel Ray Rowell and Marquis Glasper of Hughes; one sister, Sabrina Williams of Nashville, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren.

Services Saturday, September 21, at noon, in Hughes Chapel M. B. Church, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery.

Philip Piper West

Philip Piper West, 50, of Heth, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019. He was born on Monday, Sept.

1, 1969, in West Memphis, Arkansas, to Wiley (Buddy) and Mary Grace West.

Philip is survived by his wife, Penny West; his mother, Mary Grace West; one son, Nick Chism (Hannah); one daughter, Sarah Wright (Bart); three grandchildren, Avery Wright, Eva Wright, and Ryder Chism; four brothers, Johnny West, Barry West (Sandy), Randy West (Charlene), and Keith West (Theresa); and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Philip was preceded in death by his father, Wiley (Buddy) West, and a brother, Steve West.

Philip loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He was a 3rd generation family farmer and later partnered with his brother, Johnny, to form West Brothers Ag.

Memorials may be sent in his honor to the American Lung Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019, beginning at 10 a.m..
