West Memphis First Baptist Church will be hosting Vacation Bible School, June 22-26, from 8:30 a.m.

to 12:30 p.m. This year, the theme will be “Destination Dig,” where students will “unearth the truth about Jesus” with a variety of lessons, games and activities with an archaeological slant. For students kindergarten through sixth grade.

Hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Summer activities will include arts & crafts, water fun days, music & dance, sports activities and more. The cost is $70 per week, per child. Lunch and a snack will be provided (pizza on Friday for $3).

Civil Air Patrol

Civil Air Patrol meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the ASU Aviation Technical Center, 737 Taxiway Drive, in West Memphis. Young people ages 12 and up can join the cadet program. Adults are needed to support the cadet program and emergency service operations.

Steudlein Food Program

The Frank C. Steudlein Learning Center is participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program.

This program will provide meals to all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals are provided at 207 Balfour Rd., and at 1600 Avondale Circle, in West Memphis, Arkansas.

The Crittenden County Museum Displays on history of Crittenden County in Earle in the former Missouri Pacific Railroad Depot, 1112 Main St. Open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays and 2 to 5 p.m.

Sunday. No admission fee; donations accepted.

Global Academy USDA Food Program Global Academy, Inc., located at 301 N. 7th St., in West Memphis, is participating in the USDA Food Program. Meals will be available at no charge or at a reduced rate to enrolled persons at the above location. Eligibility is determined by income and household size. Offering admission, advising, and scholarship information/ assistance for students interested in attending Arkansas State University-Jonesboro on the ASU Mid-South campus. Students can major in Criminology, Business, Nursing, or Education and live locally. Assistance is available Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
