Just saw that Jones boro is moving up from 6A to 7A and Greene County Tech is moving from 5A to 6A.

Wish we could see that kind of growth in our local schools. We used to have the elite sports programs in this part of the state. I’ll always support my Devils and Patriots but it looks like the glory days are behind us. [ Editor’s Note: Someone else’s success does not have to mean our failure. Kudos to those schools for their growth. I believe that our local schools are still great schools and I would make the argument that Marion and West Memphis are focused right now on growing vertically rather than growing in volume. Both schools have made big moves this offseason.

Besides, do you know how much travel the Jonesboro teams are going to have to do now. Don’t envy that

read that sign or didn’t believe the bridge was really that low. Maybe we need one of those bars up ahead of the bridge that say, “ If you hit this bar, you’ll hit that bridge.” Either way, this is just one more example of how much this bridge being out is messing
