Celebrate the 4th at Horseshoe Lake

Kamp Karefree to host annual Independence Day party

After scaling things back in 2020 due to COVID-19, the Horseshoe Lake community is bringing back its annual Independence Day celebration in style this Fourth of July weekend.

Kamp Karefree will be the place to be July 3rd and 4th, with live music, vendor booths and more. Scheduled to appear are the Shotgun Billys, Alexis Taylor, Oakwalker, Yubu & the Ancient Youth Band, Bailey Bigger, Michael Graber, Eric Lewis & Friends, the Juke Joint All-Stars, and Tim & TJ Plunk.

A full slate of events is set for Saturday, July 3, including the Tour de Horseshoe bike race, the 5K Fun Run, a Youth Fishing Rodeo, a Cake Walk, a Cornhole Tournament, the Little Miss and Little Mister Horseshoe Contest, the annual Boat Parade and Pier Decorating Contest and, of course, Fireworks after dark.
