Big week for Marion tennis

Patriots beat Searcy, Nettleton on the hard court

The Marion tennis teams enjoyed a productive week against league foes.

Kelly Pedersen and Kora Wilson teamed up Tuesday to slam Searcy 8-0 and 8-5.

Marion did not play doubles Thursday at Paragould, but Margaret Crain, Harris Hale, and Akeylah Lathon finished 6-0 in singles action against Paragould.

Marion doubles tandem Avery Boney and Akeylah Lathon beat Nettleton 2-0 Monday afternoon at home.

Marion singles players finished 0-2 (7-6 and 7-5).

The Patriots host Nettleton, Jonesboro, and West Memphis next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, respectively.
