The Fallen 13: A Ride to Remember

Motorcycle ride for the soldiers killed in Afghanistan. A free-to-ride event for all that wish to honor our fallen. Donations are welcome and will be given to a veteran charity organization. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Marion Courthouse Square. From Marion to the Veterans Museum of Vilonia, 53 N. Mt. Olive, in Vilonia. Registration 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Safety brief to follow. Big Green Giveaway

The Marion Chamber of Commerce is promoting local businesses with a special event, the Big Green Giveaway, including prizes from sponsors Greenway Equipment, Regions Bank and Cypress View Golf & Recreation. Make a purchase at participating retailers and enter to win. Winners will be announced at the MCOC “Hogs on the Square” event on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Marion school board meetings

The Marion School District has released its calendar for the monthly School Board meetings for the 2021-22 school year. All meetings are held at 6 p.m., at the Central Office, 200 Manor Street, in Marion. Meetings will take place on: Oct. 21, 2021. Nov. 18, 2021, Dec. 16, 2021, Jan. 20, 2022, Feb. 17, 2022, Mar. 17, 2022, Apr. 21, 2022, May 19, 2022, and June 16, 2022. The public is invited to attend.

Miracle League of Crittenden County

The 2021 Fall Season of the Crittenden County Miracle League is holding registrations now! The Miracle League provides a safe environment for disabled athletes of all ages to be a part of a sports league suited to their special needs. Bingo Night

St. Michael’s Catholic Parish hosts Tuesday Night Bingo every week. Open to everyone ages 18 and up. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Games begin at 7 p.m. Smoke free and alcohol free. Concessions available.

Henry Bell Open

The 5th Annual Henry Bell Open will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Meadowbrook Country Club. The 4-person scramble will include hole-in-one prizes, longest drive holes, closest-to-the-pin contests and more. The entry fee is $80 per player ($320 for a team of 4) and includes the cart and course fee. First place will have a cash prize. Hole sponsorships are available. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Shotgun start at 9 a.m.
