And that’s just the way it goes. Eventually, there’s a branching off. Now instead of one Grandmother, our families all have their own Thanksgivings.

Last year, it’s a new era.

Both of my sons got married this year. A cousin of theirs is also married, with a few others engaged or in serious relationships. And so Thanksgiving gets a new twist.

With COVID-19 last year, we just had a small gathering at our house, and it was a perfect little get-together for our Thanksgiving.

I think we’re going back to the regular extended familiy dinner this year, accommodating for some of us to make multiple stops along the way like we did when we were younger. Any way we end up doing it is fine with me.

Just so long as the deviled eggs are good!
