Are we really just going to hand the keys to the governor’s mansion over to Sarah Huckabee Sanders?

Are we as a body of voters so blind that we are going to elect someone to the highest office in the state even though she has ZERO qualifications? Are we so far up Donald Trump’s butt that we don’t even care just so long as it’s someone who is somewhere in his orbit? And I’m saying this as a Republican whovoted for Trump/Pence twice! We can do better Arkansas!!!

[ Editor’s Note: OK, so I haven’t said much about this issue for a couple of reasons. One, the election is still a year away, and two, until recently, there were multiple people running for governor as Republicans, but they have since been scared off by the amount of money Sanders has raised and the amount of coverage she’s been getting. Both lieutenant governor Tim Griffin and attorney General Leslie Rutledge announced they were running for governor, but they both got cold feet at the prospect of running against Sanders and Trump Nation… which is a shame, because both are wel- qualifie, experienced leaders and Sanders is not. In fact, other than running campaigns and political action committees, I can’t see anywhere

job that wasn’t Trump’s press secretary. Her father was a great governor. So what? My dad was a great basketball coach. I can’t even tell you what a “ pick and roll” is. Look, the Republican party has a stranglehold on this state.

That’s fine. There are plenty of Republican policies that I agree with, but there has got to be a better nominee than Sarah Sanders. Of course, that’s just my take ( and yours apparently).

And a lot can change in a year’s time, so I guess we’ll just wait and see]

[ Editor’s Note: I haven’t seen the 2021 numbers but I do remember last year that crime was way down, with most of that being said as due to COVID- 19. It only makes sense that with people moving about freely again, there is more opportunity to become a crime victim, sadly]
