Civil Air Patrol meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the ASU Aviation Technical Center, 737 Taxiway Drive, in West Memphis. Young people ages 12 and up can join the cadet program. Adults are needed to support the cadet program and emergency service operations.

Jim Fiveash, the commander of the American Legion Post 53 needs Volunteer Van Drivers to transport veterans who live in Crittenden County to their VA appointments at the Memphis VA Medical Center and the new Primary Clinic in East Memphis. Arkansas State University Degree Center Offering admission, advising, and scholarship information and assistance for students interested in attending Arkansas State University-Jonesboro on the ASU Mid-South campus. Students can major in Criminology, Business, Nursing, or Education and live locally. Amateur Radio Enthusiasts The West Memphis Repeater Group is proud to announce a new repeater in West Memphis. It is a Yaesu DR-2X with Fusion and Wires-X capabilities (both analog and digital). The KI5GEU repeater frequency is 442.400, + 5.0 MHZ, PL Tone 107.2. We are looking at the possibility of starting an Amateur(Ham)Radio Club. Our goal is to revive a once vibrant Amateur(Ham) Radio Community in this area and to share in our appreciation of the hobby as we look to grow.
