Ricky Re’shon Miller faced a slew of charges after being chased from the parking lot at Southland Casino early last Wednesday morning at 1:30 a.m. ending with an airborne crash in the county. A multi-agency chase ensued after Miller had been reported to police for breaking into vehicles parked on the lot. Officers from West Memphis, Marion, Crittenden County and the Arkansas State Police pursued the suspect’s white Dodge Durango in an hourlong chase. West Memphis police booked the 21-yearold man from Memphis after a pursuit through the city, the county, and Marion.

Casino security alerted police that Miller was still on the lot and the suspect took off in his 2011 Dodge as responding officers approached the suspect’s occupied vehicle. The chase looped through the area and involved two crashes. Police confirmed Miller wrecked with a WMPD vehicle at the old Elite Lighting outlet at 1418 North Missouri St. The WMPD declined to offer an estimate on damage to its vehicle but reported minor injuries to some of the patrol officer involved. The chase ended with Miller’s arrest when he lost control in the curve on Highway 77 north of the Walmart Neighborhood Center where he left the road flying into a pair of parked vehicles and his airbags deployed.

The Crittenden County Sheriff Office filed the final crash report as the wreck came to rest in an unincorporated part of the county. Deputies estimated the damage to the two unoccupied parked vehicles
