Knights to play for home crowd this Friday night

The 2022 West Memphis Homecoming game and festivities will take place this Friday night on the WMCS field in front of what is expected to be a crowd full of current and former Knights.

There is a full slate of events set for before and during the game. WMCS will honor all of the former players, coaches and cheerleaders from the 2017 State Championship with a meal for the team and cheerleaders before the game at 5:30 p.m. The reunion is open to the community and alumni.

One outstanding senior will be crowned the 2022 WMCS Homecoming Queen and the 2022 Homecoming Princess will be crowned by 2021 WMCS Homecoming Queen Sarah Hunter starting at 6:15 p.m.

All alumni will be recognized with the 2022 Alumni of the Year announced and presented the game ball. The West Memphis Christian School Black Knights versus the North Sunflower Academy Rebels kicks off at 7 p.m.

At halftime, all of the former players, coaches and cheerleaders from the 2017 State Championship will be recognized followed by a performance by the Peewee Cheerleaders.

Royalty will be on display, as the 2022 Homecoming Court is presented, including 2022 Princess Kora Jane Carlson; Senior Maids: Maryn Deese, Olivia Jones and Kelsey Robb; Junior Maids: Bethany Rains and Skylar Rhodes; Sophomore Maid: Allie Carpenter; and Freshman Maids: Caroline Weaver and Emma Forrest.
