No Cause for Alarm

You may have seen the West Memphis Fire Department at West Junior High and smelled smoke and assumed something bad was happening, but no, it was the WMFD conducting a series of emergency training exercises this week at the old West Junior High building. The City of West Memphis took to social media to assure the public there was no fire — at least not one the fire department needed to fight. The smoke was courtesy of the fields burning in the county and a western wind that swept the scent into the city..
