Someone has got to do something about the dogs running wild. I saw about the attacks and it’s long past time for the city to crackdown on it. People just dump their dogs or let them run loose and I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more than it does. Matter of time before someone’s kid gets mauled to death. Where is Animal Control?

I guess it’s as good a time as any to once again share my very strong opinion that the Crittenden County Quorum Court needs to create and fund a county animal control facility and staff. County revenues have been strong and growing for the past few years and there seems to be plenty of money for such an endeavor. I know there was a lot of complaining about it but what can you do when the temperature is 4 degrees and there’s high wind? [Editor’s Note: True indeed. It’s largely a thankless job because when the power is on, no one really notices the work you do, and when the power goes out, it’s “Why aren’t the lights working?” or “Whats’ taking them so long?” My Facebook Memories reminded me that six years ago, the power went out on Christmas Day when we were out at my in-laws, so Mother Nature doesn’t care at all, man. Hopefully, everyone was able to stay warm this time around. Winter isn’t even good and started yet here, so hold on to your hats, folks] Anyone else hear gunshots on Christmas night?
