The First Marion Student Mission’s annual Youth Auction is set for Friday, March 3, from 5 to 8:30 p.m., in the Goodwin Life Center Gym at Marion First Baptist Church, 2137 Hwy. 77, in Marion. A wide variety of auction items will be up for bids.

Steak dinner tickets for $20. Dine-in and carryout options available. To purchase tickets in advance, see any FSM youth member or call the church office (870 7393944.

The Crittenden County Extension Office will be hosting a Pesticide Applicator Training session on Tuesday, March 14, at the Extension Office, 116 Center St., in Marion, at 1 p.m. The cost is $20. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Families in Transition and Survivor Voice are bringing a special awareness event back to Crittenden County this spring. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, a fun-filled and informative rally to raise support for stopping violence against women, will take place on Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Tilden Rodgers Park. in West Memphis. Free inflatables, kids activities, game, food trucks, vendors, a cornhole tournament, live entertainment, prizes and more.

Resource booths and guest speakers will highlight the awareness portion of the rally.

Marion School Board The Marion School District has announced the dates for its monthly School Board meetings for the remainder of the 2022-23 school year.

The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Central Office, 200 Manor Street, in Marion.

Remaining meetings will take place on the following dates: March 16, April 20, May 18, and June 15, 2023.
