MARS Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic MARS of Crittenden County will hold two more low-cost spay/neuter clinics in 2023: June 13-15, and October 3-5. Spay, neuter and vaccination services will be provided, with additional services available, including heartworm and FIV screening. For more information, visit marsofccar. org.

Moms of Marion are bringing another fun community event to the Courthouse Square on Saturday, June 3. It’s “Splash on the Square,” with a cool way to deal with the summer heat.

Fire trucks will be on hand to hose everyone down, there will be wet inflatables, yard games, music and sweet treats, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pack a picnic (coolers welcome), bring chairs and/or blankets and maybe a towel or change of clothes for the ride home. The community is invited!

Crawfordsville Hometown Flea Market The old schoolyard park in Crawfordsville will play host to a Hometown Flea Market on Saturday, June 3, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Bring your goodies to sell ($25 to secure a 10×12 space, pay upon arrival) or come looking for a bargain on a variety of goods. No tents, no animals, bring your own vending tables (flea market under the pavilion).

No alcoholic beverages or CBD. Early setup begins at 7:30 a.m.

Melton Holt Memorial Golf Tournament The 2023 Melton Holt Memorial Golf Tournament will be Monday, June 5, at Cypress View Golf Course, 303 Club Circle, in Marion, with a 4-person scramble. Entry is $500 per sponsored 4person team ($100 individual entry is also available). Hole sponsorships are still available for $100. Other sponsorship opportunities are also still available. Sponsored by the Marion Chamber of Commerce and Marion Rotary.

Tornado Siren Testing The West Memphis Office of Emergency Management will conduct periodic tests of the city’s tornado siren warning system on Saturdays at noon. These sirens are located at: Tilden Rodgers Park, the J.W.

Rich Girls Club, South Avalon at the VFW, 10th Street at Jackson, Goodwin at Garden Drive and MLK Drive at Beatty. If you have questions or concerns about the outdoor weather sirens, please contact West Memphis OEM at (870) 702-5159.

Marion School Board The Marion School District has announced the dates for its monthly School Board meetings for the remainder of the 2022-23 school year.

The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Central Office, 200 Manor Street, in Marion.

One remaining meeting will be on June 15.

Delta River Cruisin’ The Mid-South’s largest car show comes to West Memphis Sept. 14-17.

Southland Casino will play host to over 1,000 classic cars and trucks.

West Memphis Tourism expects thousands of visitors to the community for the 2023 Delta River Cruisin’ Showcase.
