The slim Republican House majority is a collection of election deniers, QAnon conspiracists, and political arsonists hellbent on gaining power at the expense of our democracy. To complicate matters, the Democrats have done nothing to convince us we’d be better off if they are put in control of the House of Representatives for the next two years and have already shown an inability to govern, even as the GOP can’t even elect a Speaker of the House without historic chaos, even with control of the House. We should all be concerned about their far-right extremist agenda. Already on the chopping block? Our freedom to vote and our right to abortion access. What’s next? Rather than focusing on kitchen table issues, these MAGA extremists are pledging to focus on punishing anyone who tried to hold them accountable for their attacks on our democracy, including members and staff of the January 6th Select Committee. It’s up to us to resist this MAGA House Majority to protect our democracy and our freedoms. We must call out their lies and combat their far-right agenda starting now. We must also put the Demcrats’ feet to the fire. They have done nothing with control of the Senate and teh White House.

all over the country who agree with you. But do you realize where we are? This is Arkansas. We are not only not “ resisting” the hardcore right-wing ultra- conservative crew in the Republican Party, we are electing them to the highest offices in our state by wide margins. Our current governor was Trump’s press secretary.

That’s all it took not only for her to scare off any truly qualified candidates like Leslie Rutledge and Tim Griffin ( the ttorney general and lieutenant governor who just swapped jobs rather than run against Sanders), but also won handily despite no previous job experience that suggested she has even the slightest idea of how to govern a state. Obviously I’m not rooting for her to fail, because we’re all in the same boat here ( but we are seeing, perhaps, some of the veneer starting to peel with her extremist agenda). As for the rest of your message… there is this concept called “ negentropy” that says that any system once put in place will ultimately break down over time. I think we are at a critical breaking point of the twoparty democratic- republican system. It has, in one form or another, lasted for 250 years, which is pretty impressive.

We don’t necessarily need to scrap it, but we do need to replace some of the pieces that have quit working…]
