TDOT shutting down I-55 again this weekend

tract crews will be closing the I-55 Mississippi River Bridge this weekend to continue construction activities on the I-55 and Crump interchange. All work is weather-dependent. The upcoming weekend closure is the fourth of eight allowed in the contract.
The shutdown will begin on Saturday, February 24, at 5 a.m., and run through Monday, February 26, ending at 6 a.m. Specifically, the closures will be at the following locations:
• I-55 SB will be closed at Bridgeport Road in Arkansas
• I-55 NB will be closed at South Parkway in Tennessee (Local traffic will be allowed to continue to the McLemore exit)
• I-55 SB ramp will be closed * Crump Boulevard westbound will be closed Detour signs will be posted along all routes.
The contract also allows two, twoweek closures of the I-55 bridge. The first of those two-week closures is scheduled to begin on March 10.
