I know Robert Hall gets a lot of flaq in text the times but at some point you have to really read through the often biased parts and see that the man has a point sometimes. [ Editor’s Note: Well, he actually has several points all of the time… as to whether any of those points are valid, your mileage may vary. My favorite part about this whole text though was your spelling of “ flaq”… is that how you spell it? I would have guessed flack… to the internet… Oh, so turns out it’s actually “ flak,” which honestly is also a little weird to me. You don’t see the lone “ k” without a “ c” before it very often.

The site urbandictionary. com did have your spelling, and defined it as “ to be hated on, gossipped about, or socially abused for doing something, aka throwing shade,” so I guess all the cool kids agree with your spelling.

Just FYI, if you ever wonder what some new slang means, you can use that site for the low- down, but be prepared

largely from the politics of desperation playing out among the only two available political parties in America.

Those two political parties have leaders who demonstrate an inability to capture the hearts and minds of good Americans. Republicans have recently embraced two destructive forces: antiscience and pro-authoritarianism. Democrats have recently embraced two equally destructive forces: inhumane holy war in Gaza and promotion of ballot access for fraudsters and criminals. These recent policies are in addition to the bedrock anti-American policies the two parties have long stood for. Republicans want accumulation of the nation’s wealth into the hands of a 1% class accompanied by a diminishing of the economic and political rights of the remaining 99%.

Democrats want nationalization of society by means of any available welfare champion who will hand out benefits from Washington to whoever comes begging. We need a centrist political party that reclaims science, ethics, public education, public health,

separation of powers and local regulation of human behavior.

We need a party that also curbs rampant luxury and idle leisure and replaces it with active, responsible citizenship.

Where, oh where? [ Editor’s Note: I like your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter. But in all seriousness, I too long for the days when it wasn’t a contest to see who could pull their party to more extreme. I also know that when you pull hard enough the whole thing eventually breaks, and we might be getting there with this twoparty, no- policy system. It might take a while but hopefully the right- wing and left-wing extremists will realize that when you go that close to the edge, no one really goes with you…]
