Civil Air Patrol’s 99th Composite Squadron is looking for adults to help with our youth (cadet ) program. Adult leaders will be mentors, help in supporting cadet activities, and help in other areas of the squadron. As an adult member you can attend cadet activities such as encampments, annual Fun at the Fort, and other statewide functions. You are also eligible to attend national activities such as cyberspace academies, undergraduate pilot training, medical orientation training, search, and rescue academies (Hawk Mountain Search and Rescue, Utah Search and Rescue) and many more activities related to aerospace and emergency services. If you are a pilot, then you can support our youth by providing orientation flights.

Pilots are needed to fly search and rescue and disaster support missions. The Arkansas Wing has C-172s and C-182s with the latest in avionics and some have glass cockpits. Not a pilot, then you can help support the emergency services missions on mission base staff or become an observer that includes photography training.

Have a background in search and rescue, then contact us. If you are a military member or prior service your knowledge and experience would be helpful. You do not have to have a military background or be a pilot to become part of an organization that has been serving our nation, state, and community since December 1, 1941. Some cadets in our program have been accepted to the Air Force Academy or entered the military with advanced rank. Our program gives the cadets leadership and character development training, so they become better citizens. Adults, come be mentors, support Civil Air Patrols’ missions in aerospace, emergency services and the cadet program. Contact Lt Col Larry Webster at hornets99compsq@aol.com for more information.
