The ‘foreward’ to our new book

For the past 17 years it has been my privilege to sit under the preaching and teaching of the most fantastic and gifted preacher I have ever known. Janis has had that privilege for over eight years, ever since we got married back in 2015.

Brother Don Chandler can say more in a 20-minute sermon than most preachers can say in an hour.

This is one of the primary reasons our church is growing, adding more than 100 new members for each of the past six years. Soon after Janis and I began to author our new book titled “Keep Your Fork”, it soon became obvious that the person we wanted to write the Foreword was our good friend and pastor Don Chandler. After he finished it and sent it to us, I could not believe how good it was, so we decided to share it with you. As you know, America is hurting just now, and we are praying that what our book contains will help to turn our nation back to God and the values we knew in the days we were growing up. So, without further comment, here is the Foreword to “Keep Your Fork” by Pastor Don Chandler, senior pastor of Central Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas.

“The United States of America is drowning in a culture certain to keep us down. The church, the family, the home, our children are under attack from every direction. We are losing ground with every passing day. The America many of us grew up in no longer exists and the hopes of returning to a simpler and more moral climate seem to be fading.

anyone we can turn to? Is there hope that once again being in the land of the free and the home of the brave?

“Jim Davidson has written this book to answer some of those questions. Many of the answers ought to be obvious and yet not many are pursuing them. To turn back the clock or better to return to the days of yester-year, we must get back to God’s Word and God’s ways. Our forefathers built this land on tried-and-true principles! If given a try, they still work.

“As you read about our great heritage, the vision we used to reclaim, and the next steps we need to take, you will realize that all of us need to make a commitment to our Lord and our land. We can no longer depend on the White House, Congress, or politicians to lift us up. We must make a change! We must become counterculture people with our eyes on returning to the greatness we once enjoyed.”
