The Crittenden County Master Gardeners’ annual Plant Sale will be Friday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Just FYI, in case you were unaware, they have moved from the Courthouse Square. The plant sale will be at 12401 Hwy. 70, in Proctor. Just FYI, the Craighead County Master Gardeners are having their annual plant sale on Saturday, April 27, at 3550 Aggie Rd., in Jonesboro if you don’t mind making a drive. It will be from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Crittenden County Master Gardeners have announced a Farmers’ Market for this summer, once a month in June, July, August and September. How would that work?

is a very interesting part of the election process that you don’t really hear a lot about. So, in case civics class was too long ago, both the Democrats and Republicans will meet this summer (Republicans in July, Democrats in August) where each state will send their delegations to their respective conventions to formally pledge their support to their candidate of choice. Now, regardless of how the primaries went, those delegates are actually under no legal or other obligation to support any particular candidate. Although it has been a long time, there are several instances in which the presumptive nominee has gone into the conventions and failed to secure the nomination. But to answer your question, all it would take would be for one of the state delegations to nominate someone else and then the other states could also pledge their delegates to that person. Sometimes there are several rounds of voting until one person gets a majority of delegates and becomes the party nominee. There are several nuances to the process but that’s basically it. Of course, the world being the way it is, there would likely be chaos if such a thing were to occur, but it is possible …]
