Old St. Paul Church Services

Master Gardener Plant Sale

The Crittenden County Master Gardeners’ annual Plant Sale will be Friday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The plant sale will be at 12401 Hwy. 70, in Proctor. Unique plants and decor for your home or just in time for Mother’s Day.

Tornado Siren Testing

The West Memphis Office of Emergency Management will conduct periodic tests of the city’s tornado siren warning system on Saturdays at noon. These sirens are located at: Tilden Rodgers Park, the J.W. Rich Girls Club, South Avalon at the VFW, 10th Street at Jackson, Goodwin at Garden Drive and MLK Drive at Beatty. If you have questions or concerns about the outdoor weather sirens, please contact the City of West Memphis OEM at 870-702-5159.

Ozark Mission Project

Ozark Mission Project (OMP), a nonprofit ministry that brings youth groups to cities across the state each summer to serve individuals and families, is asking for applications from West Memphis area residents who are in need of minor home repair projects from June 23-28. An application may be submitted online and can be found at www.ozarkmissionproject. org under the “Neighbors” tab. Printed applications can be emailed to janderson@ozarkmissionproject.org or mailed to P.O. Box 26525, Little Rock, AR 72221. Applications must be received by May 15, 2024. Blues off Broadway

The West Memphis Advertising & Promotions Commission is bringing back Blues off Broadway for its 2024 season. The spring concert series will feature local and regional musicians and the concerts are free to the community, every Thursday in May, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the West Memphis Civic Complex parking lot, 212 W. Polk in West Memphis.

DeltaARTS presents “Alice in Wonderland,” a Broadway- style musical featuring local singers, actors and musicians of all ages, June 21-23. See the popular children’s tale brought to life on stage by some familiar faces this summer.
