The event included a ceremonial raising of the U.S. flag as well as music and prayer.

“We also thank the volunteers, organizers, and community members who helped make today's event special,” said West Memphis Communications Director Nick Coulter. “Mayor McClendon and the City of West Memphis and West Memphis Community Outreach appreciate your efforts in coming together to make today a meaningful success. Together, we are building a stronger, more united community. Let us never forget the heroes of 9/11 and always support those who serve to keep us safe.
