Edward L. “Eddie” Ferguson

Edward L. 'Eddie' Ferguson, 77, of Marion, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at —————————– home surrounded by his family on Saturday April 7, 2018.

He was the son of the late Guenand Edward L.

Lucille Ferguson Ferguson; and brother to the late Judy Taylor, Mary Guen Ray and Marion Jean Ferguson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Earlene Ferguson; his three sons and son in-law, Jeff Ferguson of San Francisco, California, Philip Ferguson of Nashville, Arkansas, John-David Ferguson of Marion, and Kevin Burke of San Francisco, California; two sisters, Jeanette Bums of Wynne and Barbara McClanahan of Russellville; two brothers, James Ferguson of West Memphis and Ted Ferguson of Fort Smith; three grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and great friends.

Eddie was born January 20, 1941 in West Memphis. He graduated from Marion High School in 1959. Eddie met his wife Earlene Allensworth while working on a jobsite in Joiner. They married in 1962 and moved to Marion to raise their family. He was a Senior Inspector for the Arkansas Highway Department, retiring after 42 years of service in

2002.

was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need of his many skills, often coming to the rescue of his children, neighbors, family and friends.

Services will be held in the chapel at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with the service to follow at 11:30 a.m. and burial immediately following at Louise Chapel Cemetery in Joiner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
