The Greyhounds scored the first eight points of the game and never looked back, taking a 94-47 victory over the Williams Baptist University Eagles JV team Monday at The Dog House.

Picking up where they left off before the Thanksgiving break, ASU Mid-South held the Eagles to 30.8 percent shooting from the field while hitting 57.6 percent of their field goals and 47.1 percent of their three-pointers. The Greyhounds also dominated the boards, 5022, and forced 22 turnovers for the game.

Christian White led the way in the first half, scoring 9 of his 15 points in the first frame as the Greyhounds took a 39-21 halftime lead. Then in the second half, Ike Moore scored 12 of his game-high 16 points while shooting a perfect 6-of-6 from the field, 2-of-2 from the arc and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. Freshman Kevin Fulton also poured in 16 points in his college debut while dishing out 4 assists after recovering from an injury incurred over the summer.

Other highlights included Zyon Patterson scoring 11 points including a pair of impressive dunks, Jarius Sharp pulling down a game-high 10 rebounds with 9 points, and Zach Byrd dishing out a gamehigh 9 assists to go with 9 boards and 6 points.

The Greyhounds (7-2) fell two spots to #17 in this week’s NJCAA National Poll despite not playing a game last week, but take the court again Saturday as they travel to new NJCAA Region 2 opponent South Arkansas Community College in El Dorado who is participating in their inaugural season of competition. Tipoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
