The community is invited to join West Memphis-Marion Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi for A Night of Elegance

Dec. 14, 2019 at the Eugene Woods Civic Center, 212 West Polk St., West Memphis from 7 p.m. until midnight.

Tickets are currently on sale for $50 a person and $300 for a table of eight. Funds raised through the chapter’s Achievement Foundation will support local students with scholarships during their college careers. There will be food for all who attend. • Families in Transition —

provides support groups for victims of domestic violence as well as teen dating violence. We also provide “Safe Dates” Adolescent Dating Abuse Prevention Curriculum to schools, youth groups and any organization focusing on youth ages 12 and up. • West Memphis Lions Club — The West Memphis Lions Club holds their meetings every first Tuesday and third Tuesday of each month at Shoney's at noon. Guests and new members are welcome.

• Global Academy USD A Food Program — Global Academy, Inc., located at 301 N. 7th St., in West Memphis, is participating in the USDA Food Program. Meals will be available at no charge or at a reduced rate to enrolled persons at the above location.

Eligibility is determined by income and household size.
