The Earle Music Coterie met at the Earle Baptist Church, Thursday, Nov.

21, where they enjoyed their annual Parade of American Music program.

Rev. Tony Wells was in charge and sang solos.

Alex Turner was accompanist for the evening.

Hymns selected included, Battle Hymn of the Republic, When Johnny Comes Marching Home, the Star Spangled Banner, She’ll be comin’ Round the Mountain, Footsteps of Jesus, I’ve been working on the Railroad, Higher Ground and My Country, ‘Tis of Thee.

Mary Jo Staggs told the story of the song, “America the Beautiful.”

Sue Ann Elms was in charge of the poetry moment and read, “The legend of the Cat” from “Christmas Legends” by Phyllis McGinley.

Co-hosts were, Elleene Holloway, Laura Pritchard and Mary Jo Staggs.

Others present were, Jimmie Barham, Eric Elms, Janis Lancaster, Adria Roberts, Anga Turn and Vickey Wells.

Tanya Pate was a guest.

Selections of choral music will be presented at the First United Methodist Church, Sunday, Dec.

15 at 4 p.m. The community chorus and the music coterie will present the annual program.

Alex Turner is organist and Jane Speed is director.

A Reception will be held in Morrision Hall following the program. Everyone is invited to attend.

The 39ers of the Earle Baptist Church had dinner recently at Wyatt’s Cafe in Crawfordsville.

Included were, Anga Turner, Alesx Turner, Alvalia and Ricky Sides, Kay and Rev. Bill Watt, Adria Roberts, Tanya Pate, Sue Ann Elsm, Vickey and Rev. Tony Wells.

The Happy Hour Club met at the Earle Baptist Church, Monday, Dec. 2 where they enjoyed turkey and dressing lunch.

Becky Knapp presided as president.

Rev. Tony Wells gave the devotional. He read, “Christmas Morning Memories” by Pauline Hylton. He sang, “Walking In A Winter Wonderland” as a solo.

Bill Allensworth was recognized for having a December birthday.

A Christmas tree ornament gift exchange was enjoyed by those present.

The Family Life Center was decorated for the season with Vickey Wells in charge.

Others present were, Jim Hickey, Laura Pritchard, Sue Dorman, Jean Allensworth, Adria Roberts, Janis Landcaster, J.W. Ellis, Dot McKinney, Penny Simon and son, Luke and

• AOG Women’s Ministry — The women of the Assembly of God Chruch met at the church recently where they enjoyed a soup and a chilli supper.

Each guest took their bowl home with them as a favor.

Judy Wiley is president of the group.

Tabitha Newingham presented the program.
