Arkansas Game & Fish asking hunters to help track state’s population

AGFC Communications Eastern wild turkey populations have seen declines throughout the Southeast in the last decade. Help the AGFC monitor trends in turkey populations and turkey hunting by joining the Annual Spring Gobbler Hunting Survey.

It's easy to participate, just visit www.agfc.com/turkeysurveys and click the link to the Spring Gobbler Hunting Survey. From there, you can complete the survey in your browser or download the Survey123 smartphone app to record the number of gobbles you hear and the number of turkeys you observe during scouting and hunting trips. If you bag your bird, enter in some basic measurements after checking the harvest. That's all it takes, and your information will help biologists have a better picture of the whole story in Arkansas's turkey hunting woods.
