‘PINK GOES RED 2020’

Before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down social gatherings, the local Pi Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., held its Pink Goes Red Wine and Cheese Heart Gala. Heart disease continues to be the leading cause of death for women in the United States accounting for one in three deaths. Thanks Reena Holmes for delivering such a passionate message about heart disease. Reena lost her husband seven months ago to heart disease. Thanks to everyone who came out to make this event a success. Thanks to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated for being our collaborating partner. Special thanks to the men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity for serving the wine. Life is too precious to ignore the little things that will increase the quality and longevity of our lives. Let’s get moving for a healthy heart and a long fulfilling life! The program Chairman was Patricia Turner and Co-Chair Dwandrea Hubbard. The local Chapter President is Carolyn Anthony.
